Did you know you can use your iPad as an extra or additional monitor?  Once you get used to working with multiple monitors, it is hard when you only have one monitor.  When I travel for business, I usually need my notebook computer for presenting QuickBooks seminars or working with QuickBooks.  (See this post for options about accessing QuickBooks with an iPad)  Often, I work in the hotel room and wish I had a second monitor.  Using the DisplayLink app, I can use my iPad as a second monitor with my windows notebook!  Plus, it is free for a limited time and it is really easy to set up and use — just follow these six steps: 

1. Download the DisplayLink app for iPad 
2. Download the software for the PC, install it and create a password
3. Make sure the iPad and PC are connected to the same network
4. Launch the DisplayLink app on the iPad and it should show the PC as available
5. Enter the password you created in step 2
6. The iPad and the PC should now be connected.  You can control the settings (extended or cloned) display settings using the normal Windows controls for the graphic properties.

Easy to set up and use and FREE for a limited time!  (I think I pad about $2 for the app — well worth it).
