Intuit Complete Payroll Service Discontinued – Other Payroll Options for QuickBooks

Recently there have been several questions about whether Intuit is discontinuing payroll or ‘getting out of the payroll’.  Don’t be confused — Intuit will continue to provide many payroll services and comparable options, however Intuit Complete Payroll service (only) will be discontinued on December 31, 2011.  If you or your clients use Intuit Complete Payroll Service, you will need to decide which payroll service you will use for 2012. 

Intuit Complete Payroll Service Discontinuation

Specifically Intuit states:

On December 31, 2011, we’ll be discontinuing the Intuit Complete Payroll service. As of that date, you’ll no longer be able to process payroll with the Complete Payroll service.  Please be assured, however, that you may continue to process your payroll without disruption through the rest of 2011, and Intuit will process and file all of your 2011 year-end payroll tax forms.
